Even though this was a holiday weekend not much exciting went down. This was more or less a r&r weekend. I did go out to the cemetery at Fort Riley to put flowers on my dads grave. After that I took a relaxing walk on the river nature walk we have here. Of course I did have my camera with me and took a bunch of photos. Hope you enjoy them.

Now it's time to get things ready to head back to work tomorrow.
That's it for now. Later.

Even though it's been a while between updates, no I haven't stepped off the edge of the earth. I'm still here and hanging in there. Question is I supposed would be why the long duration between posts. Answer is basically I'm tired.

Tired???

Could be....
I'm tired of being alone, having little to do and no one to do it with.

Or tired of feeling like the black sheep of the family.

And though I can't rule out one or even both of the above that's not really it. Truth is it's just that lately I've gotten home from work just plain beat down tired. Hopefully now that we're finally crushing rock things will settle down and I won't be so worn out at the end of the day.

That's it for now. Later.

Things have been a little hectic this past week, but I'm back again finally to catch you all up. The reason I've been away so long is two fold, first I've had internet connectivity problems and secondly I've had stay awake problems. The latter coming from spending eight hours a day cleaning out from under conveyor belts, and that's done with a shovel in hand. So needless to say there were a few nights when I was asleep by seven-thirty. We've about got the quarry ready to produce rock means things should lighten up at work. Other then that not much else to say at the moment.

Below are some pic's I've taken at work as we try to get things ready to crush rock.

One of the conveyor belts we had to clean. This is before....

and the after.

Ahhh the joys of working in a rock quarry after it rains.

My new work station once we get fired up and running.

The crusher I'll be responsible for keeping an eye on.
